Monkey

It has been raining for two days. Didn’t feel like going out and I studied at home.

Lupita was lying and looking out over the forest from the balcony. This is one of the ways that she enjoys spending her day. Today she was doing just that when suddenly she started barking. I went out to the balcony and looked around. Then I found a monkey on the tree next to our house. Wow!

We live in the country, I know.

The monkey was watching us from behind the branches. It was even bigger in real life.

Ham Tin Wan

We went hiking with Lupita to Ham Tin Wan in Sai Kung country park over the weekend.

This was Lupita's first long walk. She walked energetically and completed the whole hike. She is much fitter than me!

I love this beach because it’s so pretty and tranquil since it's not easy to access. There is no vehicular road to the beach so there are only two options to get there, crossing the mountain on foot or taking a long boat ride. I feel on top of the world everytime I see the great scenery when I reach the beach after a good trail walk.

Horseshoe Crab

It was May Day yesterday. We went to Sai Kung town and enjoyed dinner at a famous seafood restaurant there.

These crabs are designated as a protected species in Japan. Here in Hong Kong, people eat horseshoe crabs. Lupita saw horseshoe crabs for the first time. In Hong Kong, restaurant owners display live crabs on the floor in front of their restaurants.
