Lupita Driving?

Lupikona like going for a ride in the car.

This was my vantage point from the passenger seat.

It looked to me as though Lupita was driving the car!

Twilight Walk

On our walk at dusk.

The sea surface was glassy.

Sitting in these surroundings made us feel…

Horseshoe Crab 2

I went to town with Lupikona.

There were famous live horseshoe crabs there.

Lupita stepped forward and…

sniff sniff.

Kona didn’t want to come any closer to the crab and…

pretended she didn’t see it!

Right after this when the crab started walking it startled Kona.

It really scared you, didn’t it, Kona?

Loyal Friend II

At 11 p.m. last night. Scott was on a conference call in the workroom.

Lupita waiting for Scott to finish his call in front of the workroom door.

Kona asked Lupita to play but Lupita refused.

“Working into the night must be tough.”

Kona decided to stay and wait with Lupita.

Kona impatiently tried to see how things were going through a gap under the door.

“It’s not likely to end any time soon.” Kona said, walking away.

Kona’s gone…

Lupita kept waiting even after she was left alone.

Let’s hope Scott will play with you after finishing the call, Lupita.

The Photo Shoot

What was Kona looking at?

A bride!

We often see many couples who do their wedding photo shoots in the country park.

Lupikona looking on curiously from behind.

Hiking Day

We went for a hike in the hills yesterday.

Lupikona walking at a steady pace.

In the forest. It was very quiet.

The toughest stairway on the trail. Kona was running up easily. I was out of breath at the bottom.

Lupikona at the top. I wonder if dogs feel a sense of accomplishment?

An eagle!

We had a good sea and mountain weekend. Lupikona taking a blissful nap after all the activities!

Beach Day

We went to the beach yesterday.

As soon as we got to the beach, Kona played in the sand.

Lupikona waiting for Scott to come back from surfing.

Lupikona started playing impatiently.

Lupikona Playing; they didn’t notice that Scott was coming back from the ocean.

Lupikona still playing; they haven’t noticed yet.

“Oh!” Lupita found Scott just as she stood up.

“Scott! Scott!”

Lupikona ran alongside Scott.

They looked so happy that Scott was back.

They ran,

and ran,

and ran some more.

Then they were really thirsty! Lupikona sharing a bowl of water.

And they wrestled again.

Kona got sand on her tail.

We had a pleasant time!

In the car on the way home.

Exhausted, Kona fell asleep.

Bird Watching

We heard many birds chirping outside so we peeked out the window.

Look! It has a red vent.

Lupita joined us to watch the birds. Lupita looked left…

then right.

It’s a Red-whiskered Bulbul...

with a long pointed black crest and red and white cheeks.

It’s on a postage stamp in Hong Kong.
