Greetings and Note

Thanks for visiting the Lupikona blog this year and for all of your thoughtful comments. This year I think I improved a bit as a dog owner with Lupikona. That made my year. Thank you for your support. We wish you a Happy New Year and will see you next year!

It’s Christmas Day today.

Wan-san made this Lupikona Xmas card too. Thanks, Wan-san! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas ’09

My blog friends’ mongrel dogs gathered to wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Each dog looks a bit like the other dogs. Can you pick out which two are Lupikona?

From left to right are: Lon, Sarah, Ma-san, Lupita and Kona.

Ma-san’s owner, Wan-san, kindly made this Christmas card. Thanks, Wan-san!

Christmas Present

Lupikona were waiting for Christmas Day to come under the stockings with presents.

It’s a bit early for Christmas, but we decided to open presents because Lupikona were being good.

The Christmas gifts for them are…

a Snowman Santa and a Gingerbread Man! They are dog toys made of rope.

“Here you are, Kona. Merry Christmas!”

“Thank you.” Kona was happy and relaxed when she received her new toy.

What Kona was watching with the toy in her mouth was…

Lupita gleefully romping around with her new toy.

“I love Christmas!”

Dropping Off to Sleep

Lupikona waiting for me to finish my work.

While they were waiting, they were getting sleepy…

I caught them with my camera just as they were dropping off to sleep.

Chirstmas Stockings II

While Lupita was sleeping…

Santa came to fill their stockings with gifts.

She was fast asleep and didn't hear a thing.

“Lupita, did you sleep well? Hey, take a look!”

“Wow! Presents in our stockings!!”

“I can’t wait to open it!”

Sleepy Head

I’ve heard that dogs are early risers and come to wake up their owners. But…

Lupita is a sleepy head. When I wake up, she is still in bed.

“Good morning, Lupita!”
“I don’t want to get out of bed.”

“Lupita, it’s time to get up.”
“Yawn. I want to sleep in.”

“Lupita, I’m going downstairs!”
“Okay, now I’m going to get up.”

What wishes was Lupita making to Santa?

We know you persevere with your training and now behave much better. I hope Santa makes your wish come true, Lupita.

Dog Owner Training - Lupita (5)

Hi, this is Lupita.

Scott and Yumi started my rehabilitation more than three months ago. It took a long time but now I’m not that dog anymore. Christmas is almost here. If I’m being a good girl, Santa will come. Please check out how much I’ve transformed.

Ho, ho, ho!

Lupikona in Action

Lupikona are full of energy.

Lupita always has a happy expression on her face in pictures of her running. Somehow Kona’s expression is always comical. This photo is no exception!

Walking with Scott

One of Lupikona’s weekend pleasures is to go for a walk with Scott.

“Are you having fun, Lupita?”

“Yes, I am!” Lupita smiled.

“Are you enjoying yourself, Kona?”

“Yup, I am!” Kona smiled.

Apple Chips

I tried to make a homemade snack that can be shared with dogs – apple chips that one of my blogger friends, Sarah-Lon, makes.

“My treats are in the oven!”

“Come on, Lupikona, they’re done!”

The chips taste so good! Crunch, crunch…

crunch, crunch…

crunch, crunch… Lupikona and I ate all the chips. Oh no, actually I wanted Scott to try them.

And so…

I decided to make one more batch. This time I baked two baking sheets full of apple slices.

“I’ll share these with Scott.”

It’s always more fun to eat together!
