Finally It’s Sunny!

When we woke up, it was a bright sunny morning. It was going to be hot today, so I decided to take Lupikona out in their cool jackets.

Before use, I let the jackets soak to achieve their cooling effect.

We went to the dog park.

Lupikona are not used to wearing clothes, but they didn’t care and played as usual.

Kona looked happy, and…

so did Lupita.

It seemed they felt hot after running around, even though they were wearing their cool jackets. Their tongues were…

hanging out!

I made them rest in the breezy shade.

Cool Jackets

Scott brought back another souvenir from his business trip the other day.

I have not been able to find this product anywhere in Hong Kong.

They are doggie-cool jackets that keep dogs cool on very hot days.

This is just her size. It perfectly covers over her bottom.

“Does this look good on me?”

Recently, however, it has been raining and relatively cool.

When it gets hot, let’s go for a walk in these jackets, Lupikona.

Beach Foot Racing

It rains every day in Lupikona district. During a short break in the rain, Scott took Lupikona down to the beach. I was watching them foot racing from the balcony.

“On your mark,” Scott said.

“Get set…

Kona is in the lead. Scott is second. Go! Lupita!

Oh, Kona slowed down and the three competitors are almost even. Who will win the race?

Here they are in the home stretch.

Kona finished first in style. Lupita sprinted home successfully and came second. Good try, Scott!

Running with Scott

One day this month…

Lupita was sitting at the edge of the road. She was looking at the trail across the valley.

Scott went for a run and Lupita could see him running back very well from this spot. She was expecting Scott at any moment.

Oh! There’s Scott!

Lupita and Kona rushed to meet Scott and…

ran back with him.

Lupikona passed me and followed Scott to run further. They looked happy when they had something they could do together with Scott.

Sand All Over

I haven’t been able to take Lupikona for a proper walk last two days because I haven’t been feeling well. I feel better today so we walked to a beach that is a little far from home.

There are no footprints on the beach--only Lupikona’s fresh paw-prints in the wet sand.

Lupikona ran up and down the beach.

They looked so happy.

After running a lot, they got hot. So Kona dug a hole to cool herself. Lupita was covered by sand that Kona splashed on her.

Even though you got sand all over you Lupita, I bet it was fun!

Scott came back home from a 9-day business trip.

It’s time for souvenirs.

“What’s inside?” Lupita wondered.
“Hey, is it a toy?” Kona hoped.

Ta-dah! They are Insect Shield Bandanas that keep the bugs away.

The bandana is for both humans and dogs.

“Wrap stylishly please.” Lupita asked Scott.

Lupita wears it in Scout Master Style.

Kona wears it in Texas Ranger Style.

Look this way!

“Hey Scott, do you have any other souvenirs for me? Like toys?”

Later, I took Lupikona with bandanas for a night walk. I was the only one not wearing a bandana and I was bitten 5 times by mosquitoes!

At the dog park yesterday.

“Lupita?? ......sniff, sniff, sniff……” Kona was sniffing the dog.

“Aghhhh, you are not Lupita, are you!?!”

She looks just like Lupita.

Actually Lupikona have seen this dog in a different town almost one year ago. Have they forgotten each other?

Father’s Day

Today is Father’s Day.

This is the famous white dog called “Oto-san” (which means Father in Japanese). He appears on Softbank TV commercials in Japan.

“Are you Oto-san?” Lupita asked.

This is this year’s father’s day card.

Thank you for always being there. Happy Father’s Day!

Dear Scott

Scott has been out of town since last Sunday.

“Is Scott flying back on that plane?” Kona looked up at the sky.

“Or he may come back by water...” Lupita was staring at the sea.

“Dear Scott: We are doing fine, and are waiting for you.

Let’s go for a walk together when you come back.”

“I look forward to seeing you soon, Scott!”
