Promotional Video

Today I’d like to introduce a heartwarming song.

My blog friends, Sarah☆Lon and Mubec released a promotional video with an original song about their love for dogs, cats and friends. The promotional video features many photographs of their friends’ dogs and cats.

We want to be with our beloved dogs and cats forever, although we know our time together must eventually come to an end. The lyrics, images and vocals made me cry. It also reminded me to cherish these moments I spend together with Lupikona.

Well, although the words are in Japanese, I hope you enjoy it and it makes you feel warm inside. Lupikona appear twice in the video. Don’t miss them!

1. Sumo

Get ready… Set…

Go! Kona was quicker in the initial charge.

She bodychecked Lupita to push her out.

2. Chasing

3. Wrestling

Whatever sport they play, they seem to enjoy it.

Lupikona soaked in the fun on the beach.

Airing the Bedding

On a sunny morning, I aired the dog beds on the balcony. After a while I found that Lupita had crept into it unnoticed.

"Hey Yumi, can you air another futon for me please?" Kona asked.

It feels good to be in the fresh sunshine -smelling bed!

Things to Do in the Dog Park

We went to the dog park at the racecourse.

There were so many horses there!

Things to do in the dog park: (1) Exercise

(2) Socializing

Sniffing another dog’s bottom to greet. When other dogs sniff Lupita’s face, she often barks once to say “Stop it!”

(3) Relaxing

When Lupita mingles with other dogs, she drools a lot. I think it’s a sign of nervousness. So after socializing, I took Lupikona to a quiet area to relax.

Under a Senna Surattensis tree.

This plant is also known as a “Scrambled Egg Tree”.

"I had fun!"

Thanksgiving ’10

Today is Thanksgiving Day in the US.

It’s one of the most important holidays for Americans. Family members who live far apart gather for a warm family reunion.

Lupikona send Happy Thanksgiving wishes from Hong Kong to Scott who is now in the US to spend this day with his family. I hope he is having a good time there.

Things I am thankful for…
Scott’s and my families’ health, living a happy and tranquil life with loved ones, having Lupita and Kona, being able to enjoy every meal, and also for everyone who visits my blog to see Lupikona.

Happy Turkey Day!

I Wish They Could

One of my friends in Japan trained her dog, Grun, to pee on the drain ditch.

If I could train Lupikona to do this, I wouldn’t need to worry about my dogs soiling the road while walking. I wish Lupikona could learn this.

This is Lupita’s first attempt.

She doesn’t like stepping on the iron grill. So she positioned herself right next to the drain. Not too bad for her first time.

She was watching curiously her own pee streaming down the drain.

Kona came to watch it too.

Oh well, she did very well this time. I will patiently try to train her.

Playing in the Sand

Kona was sitting in her self-made hole on the beach.

Lupita came to see how Kona was doing.

Sniff, sniff, sniff…

Kona kept smiling while Lupita was sniffing her. She is always in a good mood in the sand.

"Hey Kona! Come out from the hole and play with me!" Lupita asked her to play.

"Nah, I’d rather dig deeper!" Kona started digging again.

Kona can’t help but be amused by playing with sand. She kept frolicking in the sand.

"He-he, I’m having a blast!"

Doris & Dora

I took Lupikona to the pack walk today too.

Actually the purpose of the pack walk is to walk rescued dogs, and the dog walkers volunteer their time three days a week to do this.

My partner today was Dora. She is a black dog with little brown eyebrows.

She looks like Lupita, doesn’t she?

This is Dora’s sister, Doris.

They are sweet-natured 6 month old sisters. I hope they find a good home soon.
