Sorry About the Pose

Sorry about the toilet topic. I’m sorry if you are just eating.

As for training Lupita to pee on the drain ditch, since we don’t have a right drain ditch near our home, I haven’t trained her to do this. But when we went out and had opportunities, I tried to have her practice.

Lupita close but not quite. Her hind legs were not on the iron grille.

She can pee on the concrete drain ditch comfortably.

Yes! She finally managed to get on a narrow iron grille without a misstep.

Something To Look Forward To

Since I began feeding Lupikona homemade food, they look forward to mealtime very much.

When I was cooking their food…

I felt Lupita’s eyes on my back.

Even before the meal was ready…

Kona was already sitting at the table.

"Yumi? Is dinner ready yet?"

Jasper and Kona

We ran into Jasper, the miniature schnauzer, for the first time in about one and half months.

As usual, Lupita wasn’t interested in playing. Kona was happy to see Jasper and eager to play with him.

Last time Kona didn’t get Jasper to play with her. This time she spun round and round to try to encourage him to play with her.

"Hey, play with me, Jasper!"

"Yup! Okay!" Jasper responded with dash and spirit and his bottom arched upward. So cute!

"Kona, let’s play together again next time. Smack!"

Waiting

While I was buying a coffee in Starbucks, Lupikona waited for me outside.

Kona was lying down quietly. Lupita was peering into Starbucks.

While I was at the butcher, Lupikona waited for me.

Lupita was lying down quietly. Kona peered into the butcher shop.

Two Cat Topics

There is a little stream down from the mountain. “Look upstream, Kona.”

Oh!

There are two cats sitting there!

===================

A cat we saw during the walk was…

good at finding a little sunny spot.

We also have someone who is good at finding a little sunny spot…

She slept comfortably in the sunny doggie potty today too.

Calendar 2011

I received a calendar that my blog friend, Wan-san’s original design.

I put it on a wall immediately. It looks nice!

The middle of the heart-shaped design consists of photos of her blog friends’ beloved dogs (Ma-san, Sarah, Lon, Milo, Lupita and Kona) and is full of wonderful memories. (Click to enlarge)

I hope I can fill 2011 with happy memories with Lupikona.

Thank you very much for the lovely calendar, Wan-san!

=====================

I saw a wild squirrel while out for a morning walk. This is a first squirrel I have seen in our neighborhood.

Lupikona didn’t notice there was a squirrel just on the other side of the wall (indicated by a red circle).

At Starbucks

I went to Starbucks with Lupikona.

Though they have become comfortable sitting at Starbucks…

"Hey Lupita, look at your sitting position. Aren’t you a bit too relaxed?"

"I’m relaxing. So what?"

They were well behaved. So I thought I would be able to sip my cup of coffee, but…

I got the double are–you-done-yet?-eyes from Lupikona and drunk the rest of my coffee quickly!

Sunday

The beautiful weather was perfect for walking. We went to the country park with Lupikona.

What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning! I like it.

After the walk, we went to a very local eating place.

There were two dogs at the table on the far left. We sat on the right.

Lupita was comfortably sunbathing next to us.

We ordered fried rice and ham and egg sandwiches.

A Hong Kong style egg sandwich has a fried egg in it.

"Did you order something for me?" Kona poked her head out from under the table and asked.

Kona the Bowl Cleaner

Lupita and Kona were eating their food.

Yum, yum, yum!

Kona finished eating sooner. She was waiting for Lupita to finish eating.

Lupita finished eating. But there were some food left in her bowl.

"I’m lucky!" Kona started eating Lupita’s leftovers.

Lupita also checked Kona’s bowl. But Kona already licked her bowl clean. There was nothing left in it.

"Oh, my leftovers are gone…" When Lupita returned to her own bowl, everything was already licked clean by Kona.

At a Restaurant

After the pack walk yesterday, I went for lunch with my dog-walker friends.

Somehow all the dogs looked happy at the table.

Can you behave, Kona?

She was curious when food was served on the low table.

Kona kept looking at the food intensely. In contrast, Lupita sat behind us and…

while she relaxed…

she fell asleep.
