Water Break

On our Sunday dog walk,

after climbing up a long flight of steps...

Lupikona felt very thirsty.

So they shared a bowl of water.

Passing By a Cow

Saturday dog walking.

Scott and Kona.

Oh, here comes a cow.

Lupita kept walking...

and took a peek at the cow!

Clop,clop...

Lupita managed to pass the cow without trouble.

"I wasn’t scared at all."

Familiar Sight

Today is just another day that...

we have run into a herd of wild cows.

"Cows? It’s nothing new for me."

"Yeah, for me too."

Similar Looking Flowers

Oh, look. Aren’t these flowers pretty?

One species of flower that I often see during a summer walk is…

Common Melastoma.

And this flower also blooms here and there.

It’s Blood-red Melastoma.

Here is another similar looking flower I have seen...

it is called a Rose Myrtle.

Another pleasure of dog walking is to enjoy seasonal flowers.

Sleeping Lupita

Lupita was sleeping in Kona’s crate.

She didn’t wake up when I took a photo with the flash on.

She curled her toe up. It looked so cute.

She seemed to sleep with a smile on her lips. Just looking at her sleeping makes me happy.

Whisper

On the palm-lined street in our neighborhood.

"Hey Kona, you know..." Lupita whispered something to Kona and...

"Ha-ha!"
"He-ha!"

Stick Insect

Lupikona are sniffing the ground.

Although Lupikona don’t know it...

there is an insect that looks like a twig just above Lupikona’s heads!

Wow Lupita! It has come closer! Look out!

Yesterday’s Walk – Part II

Let me continue talking about yesterday’s walk to the park.

Hey Lupita, Kona, come out to the lawn to play!

Lupita and...

Kona were running up toward me with a beaming smile.

When Kona started to run...

Lupita also started to run...

they chased each other happily.

After they fully enjoyed themselves, it was time to go home.

I thought Lupikona were following me and behaving themselves...

a second look confirmed that they started roughhousing. What? Even after all that chasing, you still want to play more?

Clop, clop, clop, clop...

I know it’s hot, but we are almost there.

We had fun!

Stone Chair

We went for a walk to the park.

There was a living room set made of stone.

A chair-shaped stone.

Hey Kona, try to sit on the chair.

"Am I doing this right?"

Hmm... see if Lupita can show you how to do it.

"It’s a piece of cake."

Despite the Heat

We had a blazing hot day today. Lupikona district reached 33 degrees Celsius.

Despite the heat, they were sunbathing.

Despite the heat, they clung to each other.

Rash

I cut off some overgrown branches in our garden.

After the yard work, I got rashes on my arms, back, neck and face. It is intensely itchy.

My doctor told me that it was an allergic reaction.

Itchy, itchy, it’s really itchy! (This is an imaginary picture. The one feeling itchy is me, not Lupita.)

And after taking the medicine…

Drowsy, drowsy, getting very drowsy. (This is an imaginary picture. The one feeling sleepy is me, not Lupita.)

Because I feel too itchy and drowsy, I can’t do anything else. But don’t worry, Kona, Scott will take you for a walk later.
