Pre-Camp Practice

One of the things we want to do next year is to go on camping trips with Lupikona.

Scott practiced setting up camp yesterday.

It’s easy to pitch the tent in our yard!

The tarp was pitched well too. Now it’s time to plan our actual camping trip!

During the Movie

On a cold winter night, Scott and I watched movie at home. During the movie...

Lupita slept soundly on the sofa.

Kona got comfortable on the heated floor.

Traditional Japanese New Year’s Wreath

In the chilly drizzly rain, we went to buy a traditional Japanese New Year’s wreath.

It seemed Lupita felt cold, but blended in well with Japanese year-end atmosphere.

The sign on the wreath says: “Your smile invites happiness”. I look forward to seeing many Lupikona smiles next year too.

Kiss Me

Kona is a lapper. She likes licking people’s faces but I’ve been trying to break her of her licking habit.

In contrast, Lupita doesn’t lick people’s faces at all. I have a command that I taught only Lupita, but not Kona. The command is...

Kiss me.

Smack!

Good girl, Lupita.

Lupikona’s Christmas Turkey

On Christmas morning...

Kona was keeping watch over the Christmas stockings.

Kona wondered what arrived from Santa in her stocking.

Merry Christmas!

Scott Santa opened Kona’s present for her.

Christmas is a time to eat turkey, so Lupikona received turkey treats from Santa.

Yum!

Merry Christmas 2012

We spent a quiet Christmas Eve at home.

I cooked a roast chicken and Christmas wreath salad for dinner.

Scott Santa gave Lupikona sweaters.

You look good in red, Kona.

You look good with the hood on, Lupita.

Merry Christmas from the Lupikona family. We wish you a heartwarming Christmas.

After the Rain

We walked Lupikona after the rain in a fantasy-like atmosphere.

At the river bank, Kona gave Lupita a...

Good Day to Go for a Walk

It was a warm sunny day today.

Kona walked cheerfully.

The lovely winter weather made Lupita feel bouncy too.

Hey Lupita, are you enjoying our walk?

"Yes, I am!"

I feel happy when I see a happy look on their faces. It was a good day to go for a walk.

Lupita’s Intimidating New Friend

Although Lupita was curious about the Great Dane, when she came close to it, she was still intimidated.

Fine Warm Day

The cold rain had stopped and the sun was out today.

Lupikona followed me...

with their ears pinned back.

I felt like walking with them like this for miles and miles.

Cold Rainy Day

"Lupikona, go for a walk!" I called them, but...

"I’d rather stay at home," Lupita expressed no interest.

"If Lupita doesn’t go, I wanna stay with her." Even Kona showed a lack of interest.

"Enjoy your walk, Yumi."
"What!?"

Having Guests

We have had friends visiting and staying with us since last Friday.

We went for a walk with our friends today.

Kona played with our friend’s son a lot. Lupita also showed a little interest.

After playing, we had lunch in the café.

As you may know, Lupita never takes to anyone other than Scott and me. When we have guests at home, I still cannot cure her of her aggressive behavior. I’m very sorry to all of our guests...

In the Kitchen

Scott was cooking in the kitchen.

Kona went into hiding between Scott and the counter.

Hey Kona, what are you afraid of?
