Black and White Spots

When I see dogs with black and white spots, I feel a sense of affinity.

You too, Lupita?

News from Our Garden

The Azaleas have many buds ready to bloom soon.

When I threw a ball to Lupita...
she caught it in her mouth.

Sometimes...

she caught it with her hands!

Fine Tuesday

Yesterday rain cleared up. It was fine today. I went for a walk with Lupita and Kona just as usual.

Kona’s facial expression was totally different from the last photo of her in yesterday’s blog.

Both are smiling and in good humor.

Rainy Monday

In the morning, we got up and opened the window. Look, it’s raining.

Despite the rain, Kona walked out to the garden. Lupita stayed inside since she didn’t want to get wet.

Lupita was also unwilling to go for a walk…
so Kona and I went for walk in the rain alone.

I hope it will be fine tomorrow.

Tokyo Waterfront

Lupikona visited one of Tokyo's sightseeing spots.

We went to a waterfront area along Tokyo Bay.
This view reminded me of the view from Wanchai Dog Park in Hong Kong.

Behind Lupita is the Rainbow Bridge, which connects to the heart of Tokyo.

This is an artificial beach in Tokyo – Odaiba Beach.

It seemed like it was going to rain any minute, so even though it was Sunday afternoon, the beach was almost empty.
Nevertheless, Kona, the country girl, still felt afraid of the noise of the city, people and kids, etc. and kept her tail between her legs the whole time. You still have a long way to go to become a city girl, Kona.

Three Kinds of Sakura (Cherry Blossoms)

There were three kinds of Sakura competing with each other in a nearby park. From top, Gioiko, Yaezakura and Yae-beni-shidare.

Gioiko is a green sakura. It’s a beautiful green and white striped blossom.

Yaezakura has dark pink double-flowered blooms.

Yae-beni-shidare has light pinkish double-flowered blossoms on its long drooping branches.

Because I found these cherry trees at the start of our walk and kept taking photos of flowers...

the looks on Lupikona’s faces said, “when are you going to stop taking photos, Yumi? Let’s just go for a walk.”

After that, we had a good fun walk so that...
at the end of the walk, they were willing to cooperate in another photo-shoot. Smile and Click!

Walking on the River Bank

We went to our usual spot on the river bank. There was a carpet of Dame’s rocket and canola flower.

Come on, Kona!

Come on, Lupita!

Lupita and Kona wore big smiles on their faces.

Dandelion Puffball

This is a dandelion puffball. It's perfectly round.

Lupita sniffed it.

Kona sniffed it too.

Lupikona sniffed it together.

I felt that my life is well rounded.

Horse Achilles Tendon

The other day one of my friends gave Lupikona a present.

30 cm long horse Achilles tendons.

Since I haven’t fed them such big treats...

Kona and...

Lupita looked at it eagerly, as if they hadn’t eaten in a week.

I would like to thank my friend for the gift. Lupikona loved your present and took 3 days to finish it!
