Five Years Ago Today

We met Lupita and adopted her five years ago today.

Lupita is playing with the same toy today. It looks much smaller.

I could hold Lupita easily five years ago...

but not now. She is a good size to cuddle up to though!

Thank you for always being there for us.

Walking “Together”

Lupita and Kona were walking behind Scott in a relaxed way.

Lupita looked at Kona to make sure she was there.

Then, she looked up at Scott and smiled.

Then she looked at me with a shy smile.

She wasn’t walking on her own. She was walking together with us. I like walking together and how it engenders a feeling of togetherness.

Autumn Doggie Excursion

We went walking with local doggie friends.

Walking in a pack is fun.

"Are you having fun too, Lupita?"
"Yes, I am." She responded with a smile.

Although Lupita is a homebody and not good at being with other dogs and people, she was out enjoying herself during the pack walk. That’s one of the things that made me happy today.

Our destination today was...

Todoroki Ravine. It’s filled with fresh forest air.

The twelve dogs walking together had a good time. Let’s do it again sometime soon.

Scarecrows

Hey Mr. and Mrs. Scarecrow, can you hold my dogs’ leads for a sec?

Lupita doesn’t seem to mind.

Kona is scared of scarecrows. She is trying not to look at the scarecrow.

Big Windy Morning

Yesterday morning...

it was very windy.

The goldenrod along the river was blowing in the wind--and so was Lupita’s tail.

Fragrant Orange-colored Olive

Under the Fragrant Orange-colored Olive tree...

we started the day feeling good.

Recently on my dog walks, I feel the town is filled with pleasant and sweet aromas of the Fragrant Orange-colored Olive flowers that portend the arrival of autumn. I’m enjoying my first autumn with Lupikona since returning Japan.

Beautiful Sunday

It was a beautiful sunny day.

Scott played with Lupita and...

Kona.

Spending time together made all of us...

happy.

After playing, we went to a dog friendly cafe.

Today was one of those days one finds happiness in the ordinary things that we do in life.

Dear readers, please make sure you wrap up warm and take care not to catch a cold.

Mt. Fuji at Sunset

I can’t shake off my cold and skipped our dog walk this morning. Sorry, Lupikona.

However, I took them out for a walk in the evening.

I saw Mt. Fuji from the river bank.

It was worthwhile going for a walk in spite of my cold because of the evening scenery.

Nodding Off

From a sequel to yesterday’s blog.

At the picnic yesterday, after walking together the dogs were...

drowsy...

drowsy...

drowsy...

drowsy, drowsy, Zzz...

Rocking Kintoki in her arms gently.

All of the dogs drifted off into dreamland after the good pack walk. What a peaceful and happy moment!

Perfect Day for a Picnic

The weather today was very nice. Lupikona and I went on a picnic with our doggie friends.

It was fun to eat outdoors.

The dogs that joined us today were...

Kintoki,

KAI,

Sarah,

Lon and...

Peace.

The happy faces of the dogs lightened everyone’s hearts and made everyone happy. We had a good time!

I really enjoyed your company and your dogs’ company, my friends. Let’s get together sometime soon.
