Blue

Scott looked at this photo and asked, "Oh? Did you go to the ocean?"

No. It was taken by our usual river.

On this fine morning the color of the river was much bluer than usual.

Renewing Experience

Today I went to observe a dog training sessionrun by a trainer who studied under MASUMI in LA, while Scott took care of Lupikona at home.

8 dogs of all sizes participated, froma large White Shepherd and Akita to a small Pomeranian.

I listened to the dog trainer’s advice given to those dogs’ owners and watched how she dealt with the dogs. I took many useful cues from it.It inspired me.

The trainer listened empathetically to my problems and gave some advice, even though I didn’t bring my dogs. I thanked her for her concern.

My biggest problem is Lupita’s aggressive attitude towards people.

Meeting the trainer today renewed my motivation to work on Lupita’s behavioral problems.

Hey Lupita, I won’t give up on you, so...

try to relax and...

live an easy life,

OK?

Watchdog for a Nap

In the middle of our walk...

we took a little rest.

Lupita is very cautious and it’s inconceivable that she would show her tummy in the middle of a big field. Anyhow, Kona...

was relaxed and showed her tummy.

Lupita was keeping an eye out so that Kona...

could nap at ease.

It’s nice and warm as if we were in a dream.

Light Snow

This morning...

Lupita stuck her head out the window and checked the weather.

Oh, it's snowing.

Scott and Kona were watching the snow swirling down.

"Hey Scott, will we have much snow today?"

A Dust-like Growth

When I looked closely...

under Kona’s chin...

I found something like a piece of dust on it.

I tried to take it off, but it didn’t come off. What is it?

It was at first only a size of grain of sand. It gradually grew bigger.

I was worried and took Kona to the animal hospital.

She got this dust-like thing because somehow her sebaceous glands didn’t function correctly. The vet diagnosed it as a benign growth. I was relieved to hear that.

The vet cut it off without requiring a major operation.

Feeling refreshed!

Luggage Space

In my car, although Lupikona normally sit in the backseat area, they were put in the cramped luggage space.

What are they doing back there? I looked in the rear-view mirror... Oh?

Lupita seems resigned to being in the trunk. I’m sorry Lupita!

On Fine Days

The sun shines and Lupita smiles sunnily.

Kona feels bouncy.

The fine weather is just enough to make Lupikona happy.

Cold Windy Day

A strong northerly wind was blowing. Look at the chilly look on Kona’s face.

"It’s freezing!"

Ding! The strong wind blew Kona’s ear straight up!
