Playing on the Bank by Herself

On the riverbank, Lupita ran down and…

ran up. Then…

Ran up and...

whizzed down. She seemed to be having fun.

Nice and Warm

Somehow the two dogs often sleep in the exact same position.

The soft winter sunlight makes them feel nice and warm.

Kona’s rehabilitation menu is an hour jogging for a month.

I’m not fit to jog for an hour. Scott is fit enough but doesn’t have enough time.

That’s where my bicycle comes in handy.

Are you ready?

She did it. I really appreciate her efforts.

Healed Completely

On the 8th of February, just 3 months after her second TPLO surgery, we took her to the animal hospital for a postoperative examination.

The result was pretty good. The surgical site is completely healed.

That’s good, Kona!

However, she is still restricted from strenuous activities like sprinting, ball playing, playing with dogs, and so on.

“What? Still not allowed?”

“I wish I could run and play freely again…”

Don’t rush, Kona. We will help you to exercise to build strength first.

Look at the X-ray. She has a plate with bolts in her both legs.

“Thank you so much for your concern. My legs have healed well. I believe I will be able to run as before someday soon.”

Going to Adoption Day

On Sunday, we took Lupikona to a…

dog and cat adoption day in Futakotamagawa.

“Hhhh hello, you must be Yukio

Nnnnnice to meet you, I’m Kona.”

Yukio is bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. He looks a bit like Kona.

This good looking dog is Elmar. The foster family is helping him overcome fear and he is getting better and better. Yukio and Elmar still need a permanent family.

Rikimaru will begin his trial adoption period soon. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for him.

Lupikona’s friends, Sarah and…

Peace were also there to support the adoption day.

We hope as many rescued dogs as possible find a good home soon.

Lupikona and Lily

My parents’ beloved dog, Lily.

I’m often asked if Lily is staying with us. The answer is no. She is living with my parents the whole time.

I’m just helping my mother by walking Lily.

Stick together.

So… recently Lupikona are city girls half of the weekdays.

You Know What?

“Lupita, you know what?”

“What, Lily?”

It’s like they are chatting about something.

On the 6th day after the heavy snow. The center of Tokyo where Lily lives doesn’t have any snow left. However…

we found an igloo during our walk!

Snow in the Yard

It’s the 5th day after the heavy snow.

We still have a lot of snow left in our yard.

It’s sunny today. Is the snow going to melt?

House Sitting Day

“Lupita and I were left alone to watch the house…

all day today.”
